PARTS CLERK

Union Farm Equipment, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full time Parts Clerk. We are looking for an outgoing individual who can work in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate has experience with retail parts sales and shipping and receiving. Basic computer skills are a must.

PURPOSE:

Provide efficient clerical support of the parts department operation. Maintain parts shipping and receiving of all products. Keep shelves and display areas stocked and clean. Provide support at all parts counters for customer service. Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.

SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to multitask and deal with stress and deadlines. Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Computer literacy; good oral and written communication skills; good organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to perform multiple tasks; must be able to work as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • MAINTAIN SHIPPING AND RECEIVING
    • Check in and document incoming packages.
    • Unpack shipments and check against vender packing lists, giving priority to Next Day Air shipments.
    • Match incoming parts orders with the company purchase order and receive parts inventory into the company business management system.
    • Tag all customer special order items and place in proper storage area for customer pick-up.
    • Contact customers and notify them of receipt of parts orders.
    • Prepare outgoing customer orders for shipping.
    • Package items and prepare shipping documentation.
  • PROVIDE SUPPORT AT PARTS COUNTER
    • Insure all customers in store receive immediate attention.
    • Answer incoming parts phone calls as soon as possible.
    • Respond to shop counter parts requests in a timely fashion.
    • Take all messages or refer technical problems when necessary.
  • ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Maintain housekeeping for parts department.
    • Keep showroom parts shelves stocked faced and clean.
    • Remove excess trash and packing materials when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Excellent communication and managerial skills.
  • Sales experience.
  • Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines.
  • Professional personal appearance.
