Service Advisor

Service Advisor – Full Time

Union Farm Equipment, an agricultural and construction equipment dealership, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. This is a full-time position with a generous benefits package and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment supporting farmers, landscapers, contractors, and equipment owners across the midcoast Maine region.

Position Overview

The Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for accurately assessing customer needs, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction from check-in to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet walk-in customers, answer service phone calls, and accurately document equipment service needs
  • Open, manage, and close work orders in a timely manner
  • Communicate repair estimates, timelines, and recommendations clearly to customers
  • Coordinate workflow between technicians and parts department
  • Monitor job progress and provide status updates to customers
  • Ensure all work is completed to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Maintain organized service records and customer history
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Windows computer systems and software is a plus
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Professional personal appearance

Physical Requirements

  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Neck rotation, trunk rotation, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, crawling
  • Working conditions will be indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions
  • Noise level may be loud at times
  • Will be on feet all day

Schedule Requirements

  • Full-time position – 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • Saturday availability is required (with a rotating or structured schedule as applicable)
